Impressively rugged, as expected. For use as an umbrella it's a bit short, but I suspect that this is a known trade-off. The tendency to jam upon opening is a design failure no matter how much the designer tries to claim that it is user error and call his customers "stupid", but it is easy to get used to and develop the muscle memory to avoid it as long as you know about it. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
