Excellent durabilty in when used in the rain and very useful also as a cane when the rubber cap is on the tip. Only issue I have with it is that I have to remove the rubber cap from the tip before removing the sleeve to use as an umbrella. I use it when the weather is bad and my wooden cane is impractical for that purpose. Takes away the burden of having to carry both a wooden cane and an umbrella at the same time. It's also nice that it came w/ (2) rubber tips.
